Privacy Policy — FB ID Extractor

What this extension does

FB ID Extractor is a Chrome extension that reads the Page ID and Post ID directly from a Facebook post page you have open, and displays them in its popup so you can copy them for your own use.

Data collection

This extension does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data, browsing history, or user content. Specifically:

• The extension reads the Page ID and Post ID from the HTML of the active Facebook tab only when you click the extension icon.
• Extracted IDs are shown in the popup and copied to your clipboard only when you click a "Copy" button — never automatically.
• No data is sent to any server, API, or third party. The extension makes no network requests of its own.
• No analytics, tracking, or advertising code is included anywhere in the extension.

Permissions used

• activeTab — lets the extension read the URL and content of the Facebook tab you're actively viewing, only when you click the icon.
• scripting — lets the extension inject its extraction logic into the active tab if it hasn't already loaded, only when you click the icon.
• clipboardWrite — lets the extension copy an extracted ID to your clipboard when you click a Copy button.
• host_permissions (facebook.com) — required so the extraction logic can run on Facebook post pages, which is the extension's sole purpose.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
